Insider / Outsider

In my own work, passing clouds, open windows, driving, aviation imagery becomes a framework through which I explore atmosphere, memory, and emotional distance, while also engaging with the tradition of colour field painting. Expanses of landscape, sky, road, and reflected light are reduced into broad planes of colour, where subtle tonal shifts carry psychological weight rather than descriptive detail.

Like the meditative spaces found in the cinematic films of David Lynch & Wim Wenders ,these compositions use scale, stillness, and emptiness to create moments of contemplation. The colour fields operate as emotional environments, allowing landscape to move beyond representation and into sensation, where movement through space becomes inseparable from mood, perception, and memory.
